The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco is pleased to report on the large turn-out of Kababayans in the latest consular outreach mission held in Seasons Market Place, Milpitas on February 20, 2011.  Starting at 8:30am and ending at 11:45pm, consular services were provided to more than 300 Kababayans.

Consul General Marciano A. Paynor, Jr. called this a “record-breaking” mission as previous consular outreach activities in Milpitas were in the 200-range in terms of the consular services provided.  According to Ms. Dinna Bayangos of Seasons Market Place, visitors increased by 1,000 on the day of the consular activity.

“We are grateful and overwhelmed by the huge attendance of our Kababayans at this recent mission,” stated Consul General Paynor.  Acknowledging the long wait of many Kababayans due to the large volume of consular applications received last Sunday, Consul General Paynor would also like to thank the Kababayans for their patience and indulgence during the mission.

“Our special thanks also go to Ms. Bayangos, Mr. Jun Perucho and Ms. Gabrielle Ramos for coordinating the activity at the mall,” added Consul General Paynor.

The next mission in Milpitas will be held on March 20 and will be limited to the first 100 passport applicants.  Other services to be provided are legalization of documents (affidavits, powers of attorney, deeds, other legal instruments), Civil Registry (reports of births, marriages and deaths), and Dual Citizenship applications.

Kababayans are advised to visit to download the forms and check the requirements.  Kababayans are also advised that the Philippine Consulate General only accepts cash, money order, bank draft, or cashier’s checks (made payable to the Philippine Consulate General) for the services rendered.
