The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco conducted an Overseas Absentee Voter registration at the ABS-CBN International Office in Redwood City on May 5, 2012. “Para Sa Inyo, Kapamilya” is a series of public service fairs organized for the joint celebration of the 10th anniversary of The Filipino Channel’s daily news show “Balitang America” and ABS-CBN Foundation International.

Mr. Bing Dionida and Ms. Mercedes Chan-Dionida from San Francisco were the first registrants during the said event. A 91-year old World War II veteran, Mr. Nunio Villegas from San Jose also registered during the event. The Overseas Absentee Voters team consisted of Consul Jaime Ascalon and Consular Assistants Genevieve Balanzat, Medel Cantoria and Crystal Avanceña.

Those who wish to register as an Overseas Absentee Voter may still do so until October 31, 2012 at the Philippine Consulate General or during the upcoming Consular on Wheels outreach missions. Bring a copy of the latest Philippine Passport for Filipino citizens, or Oath of Allegiance or Identification Certificate for dual citizens.
