FINAL DAYS OF OVERSEAS ABSENTEE VOTING REGISTRATION AHEAD; DEADLINE ON OCTOBER 31, 2012

Register at the Philippine Consulate General at its main office or its outreach locations.

The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco reminds Kababayans that few days are left for registration for Overseas Absentee Voting.  Deadline of registration is on October 31, 2012.

Filipino citizens or dual citizens, of at least 18 years of age, are encouraged to register as overseas absentee voters so that they may also exercise their constitutionally protected right of suffrage.  To register, bring a copy of the latest Philippine Passport for Filipino citizens, or Oath of Allegiance or Identification Certificate for dual citizens.

Visit the Philippine Consulate General at its main office at 447 Sutter Street, San Francisco any working day or at its outreach locations at the following dates:

  • October 26, Friday, Lucky Money (Branch Office), 66 San Pedro Road, Suite D, Daly City (Register at this location and remit for free for dollar-to-peso transactions through Lucky Money! Limit one remittance per registrant)
  • October 27, Saturday, Fil Am Center, 4215 E. Clinton Avenue, Fresno.  (Full consular services will be offered at this location)
  • October 28, Sunday, BPI Remittance Center, Season’s Place at Landess, Milpitas (Register at this location and get $2 off remittance fees through BPI!)
  • October 29, Monday, Lucky Money (Head Office), 1028 Mission Street, San Francisco (Register at this location and remit for free for dollar-to-peso transaction through Lucky Money!  Limit one remittance per registrant)
  • October 30, Tuesday, BPI Remittance Center, 2233 Gellert Boulevard, South San Francisco (Register at this location and get $2 off remittance fees through BPI!)
  • October 31, Wednesday Lucky Chances Casino, 1700 Hillside Blvd., Colma (Register at this location and remit for free for dollar-to-peso transaction through Lucky Money!  Limit one remittance per registrant)

Registrants in the previous registration periods may check if they are still in the voters list via http://www.comelec.gov.ph/oav/?r=tpl/find_registration_-_individual_search (Go to the COMELEC home page, click “OAV” link, then click “OAV Post Finder” at the left side of the page). For those who changed residence, they need to file a Transfer of Registration at the Consulate General so that ballots can be delivered to the correct address.
