14/05/2013: Consul General Paynor Thanks Kababayans for Participating in the Senatorial and Party-List Elections

The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco would like to report that a total of 2,846 Overseas Voters actually voted (16% of registered voters) in its jurisdiction as of 4am, May 13, 2013.  Its jurisdiction covers Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Northern California, Northern Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington State and Wyoming.

Although voter turn-out was relatively low, Consul General Marciano A. Paynor, Jr. thanks the Overseas Voters for participating in this important political exercise.  “Exercising your right to suffrage is a testament of your love for the Philippines.  In the years to come, let us encourage more Kababayans to become dual citizens and register to become Overseas Absentee Voters.  As I always say, maki-alam (be informed) at makialam (be involved).”

At 4:30 am of the same day, seven (7) Special Boards of Election Inspectors (SBEIs) counted the ballots.  Official counting of ballots ended at 2 pm.

Following are the partial unofficial electoral returns for the jurisdiction of the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco.
