A team from the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco provided consular services to Kababayans in Seattle, Washington on August 9-11, 2013. A total of 730 passport, legal, civil registry and dual citizenship application documents were processed during the three-day activity.

The Consulate General thanks the Filipino Community of Seattle (FCS), headed by Ms. Alma Kern, for coordinating the outreach mission.  FCS was the recipient last year of the Banaag Award by President Benigno S. Aquino, Jr. for its work in promoting Philippine culture and advoating issues affecting Filipinos in the Pacific Northwest.  FCS maintains a Filipino Community Center which offers cultural and language classes, as well as special services for senior citizens and underprivileged Filipinos.
