In coordination with the Filipino-American community in the states under its jurisdiction, the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco wishes to inform the public that the following initiatives / events will be organized in support of aid efforts to victims of Typhoon Yolanda.

The Consulate will be updating this list as necessary. To have your efforts included in the calendar, you may inform us through the following channels:


  1. Email us at, subject line: TYPHOON YOLANDA AID EFFORTS;
  2. Tweet us at @PhilConGenSF with a link to the event page or website containing information regarding the event; or
  3. Facebook message us at with a link to the event page or website, or information regarding the event.


In the interest of transparency, we would appreciate it if you could include the following information:


  • Details of the event (Date, Time/Venue, cost of tickets if applicable)
  • Contact person and details, or name of event organizer
  • Name of beneficiary organization for donated funds/items


Those who wish to donate in kind are encouraged to refer to Advisory No. 4 for a list of items that are urgently needed for relief operations.

ABS-CBN Foundation

The ABS-CBN Foundation has opened five channels to receive donations:

LBC is accepting and shipping donations to the victims of Typhoon Yolanda until 30 November 2013. Recommended donations include: blankets, shoes, towels, canned food, toiletries, light jackets, and socks. LBC encourages donors to wrap their donations in gently-used blankets or bed sheets to avoid the use of plastic bags. All donations will be turned over to the Philippine Red Cross.


Cash donations are also welcomed, and may be remitted via LBC branches free of charge.

Mango Tours

Mango Tours has partnered with Mercy Corps (, a non-profit global aid organization that works to improve and save the lives of people who have undergone conflict, crisis, or natural disasters, to raise a total of $20,000 for relief and rehabilitation efforts for victims of Typhoon Yolanda.


In support of this goal, Mango Tours and Alas Cargo will be matching every dollar donation made to Mercy Corps until their goal has been met. To donate, visit

Roman Catholic Church

The US Bishops Conference has set aside one Sunday Mass collection in all Catholic churches nationwide for the victims/survivors of Typhoon Yolanda. Please coordinate with your local parish for details.

Online remittance company Transfast is waiving remittance fees on donations of $50 or more to the following recognized charities:
