02/06/2014: CONSULAR OUTREACH MISSION TO OREGON

A seven-member team from the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco conducted Consular Outreach Missions in Roseburg and Portland, Oregon on last May 24 and 25, 2014, respectively.
In coordination with the Philippine Honorary Consulate General’s office in Portland, Oregon, the consular outreach missions were organized in partnership with the Douglas County Filipino-American Association for the mission in Roseburg, the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce of Oregon and Oregon Association of Minority Entrepeneurs (venue) for the mission in Portland.
The two-day outreach mission extended various consular services such as passport, civil registry, legalization and notarial, dual citizenship services as well Overseas Voter Registration.
This is the 5th Consular Outreach Mission conducted by the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco in the Pacific Northwest since January of this year. After California, the Pacific Northwest states of Oregon and Washington have the largest concentration of Filipinos among the Consulate’s 10-state jurisdiction. 2010 US Census figures indicate that there are 15,861 Filipinos (of Filipino Heritage) in Oregon.
