-- The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco placed third in the recently concluded bowling tournament organized by the Young Diplomats Club of San Francisco. Held at the Presidio Bowling Center located inside the Presidio National Park last 28 July, the one-day tournament was participated in by the consulates general of Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, Germany, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, Norway, the People’s Republic of China, the Philippines, Russia, Spain, Ukraine,  and the United Kingdom. The United States was represented by the Office of Foreign Missions of the US State Department based in San Francisco.


Finance Officer Christina Yap, Deputy Consul General Wilfredo Santos, and Police Administrative Assistant Albert Pena were the top scorers for the SFPCG bowling team.


The Young Diplomats Club of San Francisco was co-founded in 2009 by Ms. Sherri Ferris, President and CEO of Protocol Professionals, Inc. and Russian Vice Consul Alexey Dobrynskiy as a networking social group for the San Francisco consular corps.
