09/04/2015: PHILIPPINE CONSULATE GENERAL IN SAN FRANCISCO HOLDS CONSULAR OUTREACH IN SACRAMENTO AND MILPITAS
A team from the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, headed by Deputy Consul General Jaime Ramon T. Ascalon, went to Sacramento, California on March 14, 2015 to meet our kababayans and provide them with consular services. A similar event took place the following day as the same team then travelled to Santa Clara County for its monthly consular outreach in Milpitas, California.

The one-day Consular Outreach at the Filipino-American Veterans Memorial Hall in Sacramento was organized in cooperation with the Bayanihan of Sacramento, USA, with volunteers from the Maharlika Lions, the Magellan Post 604 of the American Legion, the American Legion Auxiliary Magellan Unit 604 and the Filipino Community of Sacramento.

The Milipitas outreach, which was held at the Seasons Market Place, for the month of March was also a success. The Consulate General was assisted by a team of volunteers headed by Mr. Json Arguelles, with the cooperation of Seafood City.
In line with the Consulate’s aim to promote overseas voting, voter registration for the 2016 Presidential Election has been a part of the consular outreach. A total of 216 voters were registered in Sacramento and Milpitas.
