17/07/2017: SAN FRANCISCO PCG HOLDS CONSULAR OUTREACH IN MILPITAS, CALIFORNIA, ON 16 JULY 2017

The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco concluded its last consular outreach mission in Milpitas, California, for the year on 16 July 2017, at the Seasons Marketplace in Milpitas.

The ten-person team led by Consul Carlyn A. Monastrial was able to process 110 passport renewals and one (1) lost e-passport, eight (8) authentications, 89 acknowledgements, two (2) Reports of Marriage and one (1) Report of Birth.  28 persons availed of Dual Citizenship services, with four (4) minor derivatives.  86 persons registered fro Overseas Voting.

The outreach mission to Milpitas was hosted by Seafood City, assisted by a group of volunteers headed by Ms. Gorjius Secades-Castillo.

The Register of Voters of Santa Clara County, represented by Mr. Edwin Torralba, was present to register voters for Filipinos who possess American citizenship.  Mr. Torralba indicated interest in working with the Consulate to share databases that would allow both the Consulate and the Santa Clara County Register to reach out to Filipino-Americans in Northern California.
