The League of the San Francisco Consular Corps (LSFCC) is a non-profit, apolitical, non-partisan organization founded in 1989.  Then named the Ladies of the San Francisco Consular Corps, it was re-named League of San Francisco Consular Corps in 2012. The organization is composed of spouses and partners of members of the San Francisco Consular Corps, as well as retired diplomats.

Mrs. Bensurto introduced the new Board Members of the League and the US Support ladies. The US Support ladies provide the institutional memory in the organization, assist the officers in encouraging people to join the League and help plan activities that foster camaraderie and help members integrate into the Community.  She also introduced the newest members of the League and encouraged them to sign up for activities they might be interested in, such as learning a sport, visiting museums, food and walking tours around San Francisco.

Ms. Charlotte Schultz, Chief of Protocol of the State of California, attended the event. She pledged the assistance of the Office of the Mayor to the League, stating how the various Consulates General in San Francisco provide important services to the City’s residents.

To maximize the visit of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), the Mandayas, who are in San Francisco for the exhibit on Mindanao textiles, were invited to perform a welcome dance at the Residence. END
